Before we get started, I just thought I would outline the process that we went through to choose the best ride on cars 24v (also referred to as power wheels).
We based our decision on a few key factors:
- Is it actually a kid’s electric car.
- The build quality of the car.
- The features included.
- Whether it was good value for money.
- How safe it was.
- Its overall design.
Also, there are several 24V battery-powered ride-ons available in the market (not as many as 12V), but they are not cars.
You can either get go-karts or quad bikes that make up a large percentage of 24V ride-ons available.
This list will only highlight cars and ATVs.

I won’t lie, I’m a big fan of the RZR Turbo UTV-MX-ii. Not only does it look awesome, but it’s the best cheapest 24V parallel on the market at the moment.
Even though it’s not a true 24V ride-on car, it still comes with all the bells and whistles the others have from a multimedia console, leather effect seats, front and rear lights, spacious trunk, and opening doors.
Even though it runs on a 12V battery, you still get an impressive 4 x 35W motors which means it was built to go off-road with power going to all 4 wheels like a true 4×4. The ultimate beach buggy!
The best thing about the RZR Turbo UTV-MX-ii is the parental remote which gives you full control over the car allowing your child to be a passenger while you do the driving, or if they’re getting tired, you can switch it to remote mode and bring them home.

Now to be clear, there are faster 24V toys out there that are either quads, drift go-karts, or buggies. However, I haven’t seen a faster kids battery electric ride on than this BMW M5.
What adds to the delight and enjoyment of going much faster than most ride-ons is the fact that this car actually drifts as well. It comes with 2 x 40W motors that power the rear wheels allowing your kid to do some sweet donuts and 180s.
The best part is that it comes with a 2.4G parental remote control unit which gives you full control over the car. So, if your child gets tired or just wants to show off their new drifting skills to you, you can bring them home without breaking a sweat.

What we like:The looks and styling of the Lambo are out of this world. It really does look like the real thing. For a big car, it’s incredibly easy to assemble.
What we don’t: As your child grows, the seat might be a little too small since the internal space is that much larger than a one-seater model.

Now if you liked the BMW M5, you’ll love the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 24V. The Lambo has exactly the same battery and motors as the M5, however, the main difference is. It’s a 2-seater.
This means twice the fun for your kids as they can now take a friend or sibling along for the ride. And with a top speed of 5mph, they’ll be sure to have a blast.
The only downside is that it’s a little on the pricey side, but when you see your kids’ faces light up when they first get in, you’ll know it was worth every penny.

The fact this is fully licensed (has the Range Rover badges and stickers) means that this Vogue is class above the rest.
The build quality is excellent and it handles passengers with ease.
I’m not a fan of 12V parallel batteries as they don’t have the power of a true 24V, but they’ve made the chassis quite light on this model so it’s not too much of an issue.
As I said earlier, they have really done a good job in the design and styling of the Vogue. It really is a mini-me of the full-size SUV.
Best 4×4 24v
6. Mercedes G63 6×6 – (Remote Control as an Optional Extra)

What we like:All-wheel drive is always a plus. It means you can truly take this off-road without any issues. The fact it has a 6×6 drive train is just incredible. For a licensed ride-on with these specs, it’s a really competitive price.
What we don’t:

Now there are beasts and there are beasts. The Mercedes G63 6×6 is one of those all-wheel drive beasts that just looks mean. It’s got massive tyres, a huge grille and just looks like it wants to eat other cars for breakfast.
The best part is that this car is actually really well made. The materials feel solid and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design.
It’s also one of the very few ride-on cars that has motors that power every wheel. So, if your kids are the adventurous type, they’ll be able to take this thing anywhere.
The only downside is that this is a 24-parallel battery car, which means it doesn’t have the same power as a true 24v. But, to be honest, I don’t think your kids will care. They’ll just be happy that they’re driving around in a 6×6 they can take off-road.
Worst 24v Ride on Car
7. Peg PeregoGaucho XP 24 Volt
Category: Worst 24V.

Ages: For 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8-year-olds.
What we like:We like the look and styling.
What we don’t: Waaaay too expensive for what you get. It’s nice, but not £200 extra nice.

Even though this car is backed by the powerful brand Peg Perego, has two seats and is a true 24V. For over £600, I think this is too much money compared to other 24V ride-ons on the market.
The design is good, but not outstanding and it seems like they are cashing in on the Peg Perego brand.
All things considered, we think there are much better options for your money out there.
It has a similar media player as the others, and front and reverse gear. However, it’s not 4-wheel drive like the Mercedes G63 6×6, so it’s not designed to go off-road.
I consider this the worst 24V car on the market not based on how good the car is, but how many features it lacks for the price. It’s a good car, but there are far better on the market for your money.

Before I get into this review, the Peg PeregoPolaris Ranger RZR 24 Volt Green Shadowas of today is over one thousand pounds. I’m not even joking.
Now, I understand that this is a very well-made car and it has some great features. But, for the price, I just don’t think it’s worth it.
I would say save your money and go for something else on this list. Unless of course, you have money to burn.
This is the worst 24V car on the market because it’s just so expensive. For the price, you could easily buy two other cars on this list and have money left over.
Again, like the Peg Perego Gaucho XP 24 Volt, this car is extremely well made. It’s just that for the price, I think you could get something much better.
This one is also a two-wheel drive, so you’re not even getting an extra two motors for the price.
Compare this with the RZR Turbo UTV-MX-ii *2 SEATER which is under half the price and has 4-wheel drive and there really is no comparison.

You might think that buying a 24V ride-on car is pretty straightforward, but, there are a few things you need to know before making your purchase, which we will cover in this buyer’s guide.

For some strange reason, Amazon struggles to filter out a 24V ride-on car and mixes the 12v and 24V cars together in the results which are not that helpful.
For that reason, I have specifically targeted dedicated ride-on car websites in the list other than the cheapest 24V ride-on which is the RZR Turbo UTV-MX-ii *2 SEATER* 24V 4x Motors 4×4 found on Amazon.
eBay
Again, eBay is useless in filtering out 24V ride-ons from 12V, 36V, and 48V options. You also won’t get access to some add-ons like rain covers, different tyres options, etc.
No difference in looks
On the surface, you won’t see any difference between a 12V ride-on car and a 24V ride-on car.
They will both be made to look like the real thing and have all the features you would expect, such as working headlights, a horn, MP3 player compatibility, etc.
On the other hand, a 2-seater ride-on car will normally be powered by a 24V battery since the added weight of the second rider generally means that a 12V battery wouldn’t be able to power the car for very long.
The difference between 24v and 24V parallel
A 24V car has one 24V battery while a 24V parallel has two 12V batteries wired in parallel. The voltage is the same but a 24V parallel will have double the capacity (ampere-hours or Ah) of a 24V car. This means that a 24v parallel will run for twice as long before needing to be recharged.
A 24V parallel (2 x 12V batteries) is designed to use the second 12V battery when the first one has depleted its charge.
12v vs 24v ride on cars
When we’re comparing a 12V ride on car against a 24V, a 12V battery provides less power than a 24V battery.
This means a car with a 12V battery draws roughly half the amount of current of a 24V battery system.
A 24V vehicle is much faster, more powerful, and will last for longer based on the car’s weight and the weight of the child.
Compared to 24V ride-on cars, those cars with two x 12V batteries in parallel have a lower weight capacity and battery life expectancy, as well as poorer performance.
The good news is, with more power in a 24V battery, your child will be able to drive on gravel, grass as well as flat surfaces.
Should you upgrade to a 48V ride-on car?
This is a really good question. To be honest, you don’t find that many 48V ride-on cars on the market. They tend to be either quad bikes, go-karts or buggies.
This is down to the fact that the higher the power, the larger the vehicle needs to be and It doesn’t warrant putting a 48V motor in a smaller car.
Oftentimes, what the manufacturers will do is put 2 x 24V batteries in a ride-on car and call it a 48V parallel.
You need to be careful with this as you’re not getting the full 48V power, but rather 24V twice.
Also, you will likely be paying over the odds for a 48V kids battery electric ride-on car and it will be no better than a 24V car.
I would recommend that you stick with a 24V ride-on car, they are cheaper and will perform just as well as a 48V car.
