A mother has discovered a simple way to whip up noodle and vegetable frittatas in a Kmart sausage roll maker.

She followed a recipe posted in an Australian Facebook cookery group that requires six supermarket ingredients: 'two-minute' chicken flavoured noodles, eggs, carrots, onions, frozen peas and cheddar cheese.

Photos of the snacks have drawn dozens of delighted responses since they were uploaded online on Friday.

'They look fabulous,' one woman replied, while a second added:'They sound nice enough to eat, must try them.'

A third said she planned to follow the recipe to make the frittatas for her young grandchildren who are visiting next week.

The mum said she made 16 frittatas - four at a time - by cooking two packets of noodles in boiling water and cutting them into lengths of about 12cm.

She gently beat six eggs in a large mixing bowl before grating one large carrot, slicing an onion into thin strips and grating three quarters of a cup of cheddar cheese and adding the lot on top.

After pouring in one and a half cups of frozen peas, the mother added the cooked noodles and stirred the mixture until combined.

Finally, she loaded a generous spoonful of the mixture into the sausage roll maker and left it to cook on a high heat for roughly 10 minutes.

The machines, which are sold online and in Kmart stores across Australia for $29, have long been used for more creative purposes than the classic sausage roll alone.

In August, a mum delighted foodies with her simple recipe for spring rollsmade in the budget-friendly device.

Home cooks have discovered another clever use for the $29 Kmart sausage roll maker: baking pork and vegetable spring rolls (pictured)

The Australian woman made the snacks by frying pork with cabbage, carrot and bean sprouts (left), wrapping the filling in pastry (right) and baking the rolls in the gadget for 10 minutes

Posting anonymously in an Australian cookery group on Facebook, the woman said she made the snacks by frying pork with cabbage, carrot and bean sprouts, wrapping the filling in Coles pastry and baking them in the gadget for 10 minutes.

She said they were a 'huge hit' with her teenage children who keep asking her to make another batch.

Online, people were equally impressed with one woman replying: 'You are a legend, I'm making these this weekend.'
