  Great lecturer and funny professor. Lectures are very interesting and applicable. Lots of graphs, charts, and information on lectures. Lectures had "in the news" slides of new events related to the course. Readings are interesting/important but somewhat optional (some more optional than others). There were few exams and they were very reasonable.

  Mark is an amazing professor that puts effort in to make his lectures engaging & funny, and is very approachable. He is a great guy and I would recommend his class to anyone that's interested. In the fall 2021 semester, the only work was a weekly quiz based off of a few readings, a few small assignments, and 3 exams, which were take-home essays.

  Exams are based heavily on lectures and pretty standard exams for the POLSCI department, but were take home with IDs and an essay. Interesting material if you get into it, but it's easy to get lost in lecture. Prof is really accessible outside of class, and has a great personality and a pretty decent sense of humor.

  Absolutely phenomenal! He makes a great effort to apply real scenarios to every aspect of class and although there are lots of readings, all of them are relevant and interesting. He is also super kind and will make time for you outside of class. He honestly made me consider a major in polisci. Looking forward to taking another class with him!!

  The class he taught itself was very interesting and the lectures were amazing. I had a lot of problems, though, with assignments. There were virtually no criteria to grading and the midterms/final were all take-home and incredibly time-consuming. There was very little help from the TAs and I would not take this again.

  MC is a funny guy who is obviously very passionate about the things he teaches. Only downside to his class was the midterm and final structure, it was so time consuming and repetitive.

  Professor Copelovitch is the best professor I have had in college. He is so knowledgeable in every aspect of this class, and it showed in every lecture. I found the content in this class to be extremely interesting, but even if the idea of international relations does not excite you, this is a phenomenal course because of Professor Copelovitch.

  Super interesting class, definitely a class you have to work for! Lectures are engaging and fun and there are many opportunities to get good grades. Sometimes the weekly readings are long and confusing but overall, he does a good job of discussing the main theme of the readings in lecture.

  Prof. Copelovitch had informative lectures that were easy to understand and you could tell he's really passionate about what he teaches. Super approachable, actually cares about his students, and lectures had fun connections to pop culture that helped make the content less intimidating. Would definitely recommend, TAs were super helpful too.

  I took Professor Copelovitch's PS140 class this semester. It was a slightly tough class, but he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his material and tried to make the lectures engaging with music and pop culture. I learned a lot in this class and would recommend Prof. Copelovitch to hardworking students, because it's not an easy A.

  Prof. Copelovitch has a lot of really informative and fun lectures, even though they were all online and pre-recorded. His office hours were always great to attend, and he was very clear with answering questions. Also, if you're someone looking for an apolitical prof, he goes out of his way to use sports teams metaphors over political metaphors.

  Really enjoyed Professor Copelovitch's Intro to International Relations course this semester. He's a brilliant mind, revered in his field of study, and it is easy to recognize his passion for what he does, something great instructors seem to have in common. Awesome lecturer too!   Contrary to what some have said, I think the content was extremely approachable. I stopped reading the textbook halfway through the class and found the lectures and discussions alone were more than enough. (Read the articles though, sometimes he references them directly on tests) interesting lecturer, I actually was excited to go to class.
