Third Coast Pizza

We’re starting this list with our personal pick for THE BEST pizza in all of Prague.

Having operated for over a year as a mobile pop-up restaurant, Third Coast Pizza now has a permanent location in the space previously occupied by U Kurelu in Zizkov.

Third Coast’s founders set out on a passion project to bring a different style of pizza, and one close to their American roots, to Prague. And thankfully for all the pizza-loving residents of Prague, they succeeded.

With its origin closely related to thick Sicilian pizza, Detroit style is baked in a special square pan and balances fluffy focaccia like dough and a crunchy cheesy crust with abundant and flavorful ingredients.

Johnny Pizza Bar

Johnny Pizza Bar is one of the best pizza places in Prague because they keep it simple. Located right in the city center, they deliver to almost all of Prague.

Serving up all the classic pizzas like margherita, salami, Hawaiian, and more, there’s something for everyone to be found here.

It might be thin crust, but the generous heaps of cheese and delicious toppings on these pizzas should not be underestimated.

If pizza isn’t your thing, they also offer pasta, burgers, meat, and salad options, so your whole party will be happy. But for a traditional thin crust pizza, this is the place to go.

Le Pizze di Frankie

This typical Italian pizza place is located in Prague 4, just a short tram ride from IP Pavlova.

With upwards of 10 different types of pizza to choose from, there’s something for everyone here.

All their pizzas are Neapolitan style. They serve classics such as margherita and salami as well as some seasonal options like the vegetarian Pisellina. This summer special comes with cherry tomatoes and pea puree.

They also have a pizza named after their neighborhood: the Nuslita, with anchovies, garlic, and oregano.

Pizza Nuova

Pizza Nuova prides itself on its traditional Italian preparation method. As part of the Ambiente restaurant group, you can expect high-quality ingredients and an expert preparation process.

The dough is rolled in the style of Verace Pizza Napoletana and then baked in an oak wood oven imported from Naples. It’s hard to get more Italian than that!

They serve a variation of the classics such as margherita, buffalo margherita, diavola, four cheese, and more. They even have a special Pizza alla Chef with a cheese blend, black olives, spicy salami, and bell peppers.

If you’re eating at the restaurant, you can also choose a tasting menu so you can try as many as your heart desires.

To accompany your pizza, they also serve a variety of appetizers and pasta dishes.

Giallo Rossa

Giallo Rossa is one of the biggest pizza chains in Prague. With an extensive menu featuring various Italian specialties, they serve fresh food daily and cater to the city of Prague through multiple locations.

You could say they are a pizza empire. Their pizzas are also 31cm, bigger than the 25cm of many restaurants here in Prague.

With about 15 pizzas to choose from and different options at each location, you’ll want to try all of them.

If you’re looking for something different, try the Patata pizza with potatoes, rosemary, and ham. Or, there’s the St. Jacobo with egg, smoked cheese, pepper, and bacon. Of course, you’ll find the classic Margherita here, as well.
